Each summer, the Clean Ocean Action Shore Tips (C.O.A.S.T.) Campaign engages shore visitors and residents in being the solution to ocean pollution.  During weekends in July and early August, Clean Ocean Action (COA) volunteers hit the New Jersey shore equipped with colorful information tables, attractive T-shirts, and most importantly, a message about public responsibility for preventing ocean pollution.  At beach clubs, public beaches, and festivals in Monmouth and Ocean Counties in New Jersey, COA distributes our "Shore Tips," a series of informative guidelines to educate and motivate for specific  activities -- from boating, angling, and beach-going to gardening, living in your home, and driving your car -- and stopping nonpoint source or "pointless" pollution in our ocean.  Also, the C.O.A.S.T. campaign engages people in actions related to current critical ocean pollution threats and solutions.

Look for C.O.A.S.T. at the shore this summer.  Visit our information tables.  Discover what you might do or do differently to further the progress we are making in protecting the ocean.  Increasing knowledge and public consideration will give rise to ever more beautiful coastal waters and beaches.
